Cosy bungalow near an old thatched pub with a lovely walk to a beautiful beach.

Little Nod is on a small, secluded site of 12 bungalows, behind a thatched pub. There is a small working pottery nearby and a village shop/PO. There are other pubs and shops in nearby villages and Bude is about 12 miles away.

The beach is 1½ miles away down a wooded valley and has a small free car park. There is a stretch of sand at low tide with pebbles, rock pools and a small waterfall. Welcombe is a village on the North Devon/Cornwall border, popular with walkers, surfers and families. Visitors return year after year to enjoy the peace, quiet and natural beauty of the area. There is a large nature reserve nearby, as well as the coast path. The sunken leafy lanes are crowded with primroses in Spring.

The Old Smithy Inn has a lovely beer garden to enjoy on a summer's day and a cosy woodburner on cold winter evenings. They serve excellent food, real ales and good wines. They have weekly events - Open Mic on Sunday in the summer, Fish & Chips & a pint offer Mon, Curry night Weds, Pizza night Thurs and a fortnightly Quiz, Pie and a Pint offer Fri and Sun roasts. Happy hour 5.30 - 6.30 Tues & Fri.There is also a monthly Folk night and occasional music sessions and parties.

Local attractions include Marsland Nature Reserve, SW Coast Path, Tintagel, Boscastle, The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, The Gnome Reserve, Clovelly, Docton Mill Gardens, Hartland Abbey, Hartland Quay, Dartington Crystal and Rosemoor RHS Gardens. Dartmoor, Bodmin and Exmoor are all easily reached for a day, as are Eden and Heligan.

There is a shared garden for residents and a patio with garden furniture.
The property has 1 double bedroom, 1 bunk bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. There is a wash basin, toilet and an electric shower over the bath and an electric oven, hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, fridge/freezer & washing machine in the kitchen. Also a tumble dryer, washing line, ironing board & iron, cot & high chair if needed.
The wall mounted modern radiator in the living room is very efficient and there are oil filled radiators in the bedrooms and also a moveable oil filled radiator and small convector heater. There is a heated towel rail and a fan heater in the bathroom. The lounge has a flat screened 40" Smart TV with Freeview and you can bring your own Fire stick, if you have one. There is DVD player with USB port and a small DVD library, as well as books, magazines and a few games. There is a radio/CD in the living room and a clock/radio the main bedroom.
The electricity is supplied by a £1 coin meter with £5 credit supplied for a week during the summer and £10 during the winter.
There's a phone with anytime calls, short calls to mobiles and unlimited broadband included in the rental price.
We provide bedlinen, a hand towel, tea towels and a bathmat, but you need to bring your own bath towels.
