The picturesque village has its own pub/restaurant which is a short walk from Rose Cottage. There is also a butchers shop and a general village shop with News/ Post Office.
The cottage is in an enviable position, surrounded by lovely countryside for local walks, you may see the wild deer. Walk up to Farleton Knott and Burton Fell to see the limestone pavements. Nearby are canal, fishery and the RSPB Leighton Moss reserve,. Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall, Leighton Hall, Borwick Hall are minutes away. Casterton Golf Course 7 miles away. Our guests return year after year, telling us how comfortable and lovely the cottage is to return to after an enjoyable day out.
