The cottage has two bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with two single beds [not bunk beds]. Children over 7 years only. Dogs welcome - not more than 3. Free wifi.
Lounge has feature multi-fuel burner and granite flagstone floor. Colour television and DVD player. Modernised kitchen with new storage units, an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine. The quarry-tiled kitchen floor has been retained. Modern tiled bathroom with fitted bath and shower unit.
Off-the-road hard standing for two cars. Front garden with trees, shrubs and lawn, plus a private rear patio with views over countryside.
Charges incude all hot water, central heating, cooking, lighting, etc. No meters. Cottage is available all year round, including short breaks. A complimentary basket of logs is provided [the property has electric central heating from highly efficient overnight storage heaters]. Blankets, duvets, pillows are provided but guests are asked to take their own bed linen [pillow cases, sheets/duvet covers] and towels - or these may be hired for a small charge, and beds made up ready for your arrival.
Moor's Edge Cottage, in the village of Horrabridge, approximately five miles south of Tavistock [a World Heritage Site] and ten miles north of Plymouth. The village has a Church and a Chapel; two public houses; a post office and general store; fish and ship shop and a local bakery - all located about ten minutes walk from the Cottage. Horrabridge also has a famous stone bridge over the River Walkham which runs through the village centre [together with salmon leap].
Cottage is on the edge of the Moor, five minutes from great walks, wonderful scenery and the famous Dartmoor Ponies. Tavistock with its historic Pannier Market [10 mins by car] and local Golf Club [five mins by car].
Moor's Edge Cottage is immaculately maintained by a local Housekeeper and is the ideal holiday centre for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Approximately 10 miles from the Torpoint Ferry or the Cawsand Ferry or the River Tamar Bridge into Cornwall; a local Theatre in the market town of Tavistock, or Plymouth. The cottage is also short distances from Oakhampton, Exeter, Buckfastleigh and an extensive range of interesting places to visit.
