Open plan cottage with woodburner original slate floors & use of hot tub

A character 18th Century converted cottage set on the owners working farm converted into a ground floor 1 bedroom attached property sleeping up to 2 guests.

The bedroom has a zip & link bed so can be 1 superking or twin beds, there is a wet room in the cottage with walk-in shower, toilet & washbasin. There is an open plan living area & kitchen, including dishwasher & washing machine. The property is fully underfloor heated.

Set in a shared courtyard with its own patio & seating. There is an 8 seater hot tub privately fenced off within the courtyard shared with the other attached cottages the hot tub is only for the use of guests residing in these 3 properties.

The property is set in a lovely peaceful corner of West Cumbria close to the sea with the Lake District Mountains & Wasdale & Eskdale Valleys providing a majestic backdrop, here you have the choice of caravan, camping or self -catering accommodation all on one site.

The beautiful sandy beaches are a 5 minute walk from the cottage where children can build sandcastles & adults can take a romantic stroll & admire the sunset. A short walk up the lane will take you to Halsenna Moor an area of conservation & natural beauty, enjoy one of the designated walks & possibly see fox cubs playing or deer grazing & many other wild birds & animals.

The Victoria Hotel is the nearest pub, less than a mile serving traditional beers & good home-made food using great local produce. There are also a number of other local restaurants & traditional pubs dotted around the area serving good food & drink.

Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass & Eskdale narrow-gauge railway are just a short drive away & a little further you have the popular tourist destinations of Grasmere, Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere & Hawkshead, which are just a short trip over the hills via Hardknott Pass.

The Railway Station is less than a mile away, which serves the Barrow to Carlisle West Coast line, allowing you to explore the area without having to drive. If you would like to use public transport to get to us, we can arrange a pick-up/drop-off to & from the station. There is also a small bus service which passes the end of the lane. The nearest shops are 1 mile at Seascale, newsagents/small store, Butcher, Bakery & Chemist/grocer & hardware store, 1 Chinese & 1 Pizzeria takeaways. If you wanted a larger shop you can go online & order from Asda or Tesco & arrange a delivery to the property for your arrival.

Stephen & Julie are the owners & on booking or making enquiries you will speak directly with either of them, whenever possible. On your arrival they will meet you to welcome you into the property.
