Comfortable character cottage sleeping three situated between St Ives & St just
Stennack Cottage is situated in a small terrace in the hamlet of Bojewyan Stennack half a mile from the centre of Pendeen and set back from the scenic north coastal road which connects St Ives to Lands End
It has a very cosy sitting room with a sofa and armchair,dining table and chairs.The cottage is flooded with early morning light as the sun rises over the Penwith moors A large granite fireplace houses the multi fuel stove-- with unlimited fuel provided. Other heating is by N.S heaters. The kitchen is extremely well eqipped for all your needs, with good quality kitchen utensils. Upstairs, the double room has a king size bed with a glimpse of the sea, whilest the single room looks towards the penwith moors. The shower room with toilet and basin is on the first floor. We have a policy of non smoking in the cottage and change over is on Fridays. Out side, is a small gravel garden with table/chairs and a bench Parking is off road on a paved area at the bottom of the garden.We offer free unlimited Wifi.
Within easy walking distance from the cottage is the secluded Portheras Cove. A wonderful place for a picnic. The World heritage Sites of Geevor and Levant Tin Mines close by. We have an excellent village shop, pottery and art gallery and three welcoming village pubs.
The rugged coastline and abandoned granite engine houses evoke the proud history of this area. The iconic Two Crowns at Botallack are perhaps the most spectacular scene on this coastline. This is bliss for Poldark fans!
Further afield ( less than 12 miles ) you will find Penzance, St Michaels Mount, Marazion, Newlyn, Mousehole, Minack Open Air Theatre, St Ives, Cape Cornwall, St Just and the wonderful beach of Sennen Cove.
The area is steeped in prehistoric history-- visit Chun Quoit (walk from the cottage) Chun castle, Men an Tol, Chysauster Iron Age Village.
Good food is to be found in Cornwall, in the village we have the North Inn, The Radjel, Trewellard Arms, Lilians fish & chips and Heathers coffee shop serving excellent breakfast and light lunches, all these are within walking distance of the cottage. Further afield in St Ives you have the Porthminster Beach Cafe.In Porthlevan there is Kota. At Sennen Cove--The Beach restaurant and on the road to St Ives you will find the Gurnards Head. After lunch here, you could walk out to the headland and look down the coast to Pendeen Watch,it's simply magnificent what ever time of year you choose to visit.
