Parc y Brenin in Carmarthenshire, a cottage in Pembrokeshire and the South: Parc y Brenin exterior

A Quaint and Romantic cottage overlooking a beautiful cottage garden.

Parc y Brenin is one of only a few remaining real traditional welsh cottages in Wales. You will be mesmerised by its charm upon entering the cottage. It has been renovated to a very high standard, but has not lost its quaintness.

The accommodation is on two floors. On entering the cottage you have a beamed hall way, with painted wood walls, giving you a sense of warmth, when you first step into the cottage. You will find a gallery kitchen, stocked with electrical appliances and a fully equipped kitchen for all you culinary needs. This then leads you through to the Bathroom. The Dining room has an oak table and chairs with a bookshelf full of reading material. The lounge is very cosy and comfortably furnished. The main feature being an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, which lends itself to romantic evenings in with a chilled glass of wine and looking into a roaring fire. Upstairs you will find 2 A framed beamed bedrooms. One double bed in one room, leading straight into 2 single beds in the second.

The cottage has its own enclosed beautiful garden full of cottage garden flowers. There is seating at the front of the cottage to enjoy the garden at you leisure.

Set in the heart of an idyllic rural setting of the Towy valley, Parc y Brenin is an ideal place to holiday whatever your interests. The market town of Llandeilo, which is about 3 miles away, is a traditional pretty market town with narrow streets and historic buildings, a good selection of individually owned boutiques eateries, crafts and antique shops. 'Y Polyn' is the AA restaurant of the year for Wales 2009-2010, and is only 15 mins drive away. It has two AA Rosettes and an Egon Ronay Star.

Carmarthen which is about 5 miles away is thought to be the oldest town in Wales and the birthplace of Merlin of Arthurian legend, has a large market specializing in selling fresh local produce.

Visit Aberglasney Gardens (the garden lost in time) and the National Botanic Garden of Wales with its Great Glasshouse or just marvel at the beauty of the scenery. The Towy valley has castles, gardens, wildlife, small towns and beautiful scenery but is also within easy reach of the breath-taking scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

A couple of miles away are the Gardens of Aberglasney and The National Botanic Gardens. There are numerous castles to visit within a short distance including Carreg Cennon, Dryslwyn, Dinefwr Park and castle and Newton House (National Trust), Llanstephan and Talley Abbey.

We are located within easy driving distance of the spectacular heritage coastline and beaches of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Gower Peninsula, which even in summer are little populated.

We welcome small well behaved dogs but a maximum of two small dogs for a charge of £10 per dog. Large dogs are not suitable in the cottage.
