Troedyrhiw is a detached traditional Welsh farmhouse and a must for anyone seeking peace and tranquillity with unspoilt scenery surrounded by abundance of wildlife. Situated on the Strata Florida walk, one mile from the historic Strata Florida Abbey (1164), Troedyrhiw nestles peacefully at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains. Paradise for ramblers and city people wishing to escape to the quiet lifestyle of the country.

Both river and lake fishing is available within close proximity. Occasional farming activities take place on our adjoining hill farm Frongoch 1/4 mile away. Farmhouse is within easy reach of the village shop, post office, and 3 pubs. Highly recomended bar meals available at the local village of Ponrhydfendigaid - (see the visitors book).
The Nature Reserve of Cors Caron only 5 mile drive away is a must for walkers. There is also a bike/horse trail from Tregaron to Aberystwyth along the Cors Caron Nature Reserve where you will find abundance of wildlife and Red Kites.
Tregaron (9 mile drive) is a small welsh speaking market town where you can visit the famous Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre that offers beautiful gifts with fantastic gallery. For a special occasion visit the Restaurant at the Talbot Hotel on the square.
Visit the University town of Aberystwyth (17mile drive) home of the National Library of Wales, take a walk on the promenade or even catch the electric cliff railway on Constitution Hill. For a magical day out take the narrow gauge railway from Aberystwyth to the heart of the Plumlumon Mountains where your destination will be the famous Devil's Bridge and Rheidol falls.
Troedyrhiw sleeps 5, 2 double bedrooms and one single.
The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, w.c. and wash hand basin. Traditional oak beams.
The single bedroom is opposite the bathroom, therefore, you have to go through the 3rd bedroom to the bathroom.
All bedrooms have superb views over open countryside.
Downstairs comprises of kitchen, living room, dining room and cloackroom with underground heating.
The kitchen has a fully fitted range of wooden units. There is an integral electric hop, microwave with separate fridge and freezer. It also has a washing machine with separate tumble dryer.
Dining room has an oak dinging table with 6 high back oak chairs.
The spacious lounge has a large woodburning stove in inglenook fireplace. It is furnished with a 1 two seater sofa and 2 armchairs, coffe table, TV and DVD player with games for children/adults.
The patio doors lead from the lounge to the gravelled and paved patio area with patio furniture and an enclosed lawn to the rear of the farmhouse. You can unload your car beside the farmouse and there is ample parking area.
