Foords Barn is a recently-converted cob-walled stable set in a walled garden in
Foords Barn is the last building that remains on the site of an old village farmyard enclosed on three sides by well-preserved cob walls. The barn was used in the last century as a stable and a lot of the old features remain. The barn has recently been sympathetically converted into self-catering accommodation. The sitting room is simply furnished and features a wood burning stove, a billiard table and lime-washed cob walls with oak beams. Upstairs the large bedroom enjoys a fine view of Broughton Down, home to rare butterflies and bronze age tumuli. In the kitchen the fridge is always stocked with fresh eggs from the hens pecking around in the lovely garden outside.
