Church Farm Cottage is a tastefully furnished and well equipped cottage, with views over countryside and renovated to a high standard. Set in a private enclosed garden, this spacious, cosy and family friendly cottage is a perfect retreat at any time of the year.
The cottage is situated in Stainton by Langworth, a rural hamlet and is located off a single track road used for local access only. It is just 6 miles east of the historic Cathedral City of Lincoln, with its Castle, ancient buildings, cobbled streets, shops, theatre and restaurants. Church Farm Cottage is a ideal base for exploring the County of Lincolnshire. The Lincolnshire Wolds also has splendid natural scenery with pretty villages, market towns and castles just short drive away. The coast with its unspoilt beaches and seaside resorts is within 35 miles.
The cottage is detached and can comfortably accommodate up to six people and a baby. The Cottage lies in the 5 acre grounds of Church Farm House, with its own enclosed garden and is accessed via its own driveway.
The cottage has 3 double bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and two with twin beds) and a delightful baby's nursery room next to the master bedroom.There is a family bathroom with bath, and on the ground floor a shower/wet-room along with separate cloakroom with w.c. and basin. The large sitting room has has a squashy leather suite, two high back arm chairs and a wood burning stove. The superb kitchen diner will host many memorable family meals.
Lots of home away from home luxuries are provided at the cottage including quality bed linen and towels, DVD, video and free view TV, Hi Fi,Wi Fi and Dishwasher. A selection of films, books, games and local information are provided for guests throughout their stay. We can provide quailty bicycles (small charge) for children and adults to explore the local area.The cottage is so cosy in winter; it is well insulated, double glazed and has full oil fired central heating and a woodburning stove in the sitting room. Garden furniture and a gas barbeque are also provided.
The area is a haven for wildlife with barn owls nesting on the paddock. Experience a slower pace of life,with cleaner air. There are a wealth of local footpaths and bridleways (you can even bring your own horse!) allowing you to walk right from the front door. There are walks around the owner's 30 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow situated nearby. Up to 2 very well behaved dogs allowed. We have a charge for dogs of £10 for each dog.
The cottage is great for family holidays and children are very welcome, or as cosy rural retreat for two! We also provide a welcome tea tray for your arrival.
A damage deposit of £100 is payable prior to arrival
