Spacious, well equipped cottage with private patio on the burn side

The Haven is a three bedroomed cottage with a comfortable layout and cosy accommodation.

From a welcoming hallway, (to the left of which is storage for coats, bags, boots etc.) you enter into a bright, open plan, living dining area which has four windows, two looking south, one west and one north.

There is a generous kitchen with large utility room off, from which you can access a private patio beside the burn which burbles through the property.

Downstairs also has a twin bedroom beside a bathroom with bath, wc and wash hand basin. Upstairs there is a double (king size bed) and a further twin with a separate shower, wc and wash hand basin.
The cottage has central heating, double glazing, TV, DVD and CD players, and all the usual white goods. Books and games are also provided. Guests have access to the surrounding grounds and shared barbecue area. All fuel costs and linen are included in the price.

Well behaved children and pets are warmly welcomed (animals by arrangement) though we ask for dogs to be kept on leads in the ground as we are surrounded by sheep and cattle. There are walks close by, however, where dogs can be let off the leads.

Whether visitors wish for adventure or to steep themselves in history, to be active, to watch the birds and wildlife, to walk, cycle or sail, or simply to relax, the cottage provides a comfortable and warm base for so doing.

Close to Loch Lomond National park, Loch Fyne and the Island of Bute there are plenty of places to visit. There are numerous formal gardens and forest trails and many activities e.g. golfing, fishing (river and loch), pony trekking, quad biking, boat trips, are in easy reach. A sailing school is based in Tighnabruaich.

There is a wide variety of walking (Cowal Way and loop walks) and cycling on the doorstep.

Swallows, woodpeckers and red squirrels visit the garden while eagles, harriers, buzzards, red deer, otters and seals inhabit the wider area. Gannents and dolphins are increasingly being spotted in the nearby Kyles of Bute.

All in all this is one of the most unspoilt parts of Scotland, yet easily accessible from Glasgow. Just call if you would like to know more.
