One of Veryan's Round Houses

Chyrond offers a warm welcome whether you want the National Trust coastal path and beaches, or just to be. You enter a round dining room; opposite is a curving stairway up to a double bedroom with en suite bathroom. Down steps from the dining room there is a hallway with French windows to the patio and garden; a WC, shower; a twin bedroom (additional bunk beds can be provided); and a sitting room with a good quality bed-settee. The owners maintain the cottage and the garden, which provides space to sit, sunbathe and eat outside, and off-road parking.
Chyrond is one of the four thatched Round Houses built by the Trist family in the early part of the 19th century. Stories abound about the reasons for the cottages being round and why four of them are set at the village boundaries.
