The Gate Lodge (sleeps 3 to 4) was the cottage of Lord Carberry's staff, when he came in residence in Lough Ine House, his hunting lodge. The lodge is situated on 16 acres of woods and fields, in one of the most famous beauty spots in West Cork, near Skibbereen. It has been sensitively redecorated in the simple style which suits its age.

Surrounded by hills and facing the sea, the Gate Lodge offers wonderful views from the living room and the master beroom over the sea, the park or the hills.

You can enjoy your own private spot in the woods where you will find a table and benches or you can use one of the rowing boats to explore the beauties of the Lough or have a picnic on one of the islands small beaches.

The Lodge offers 1 double, 1 single, 1 sofa bed, 1 bathroom with bath & shower, open plan living room with a large fireplace , a dining area, a kitchenette & spiral staircase.
