We are the only cottage in Herefordshire to have been awarded the Quality at Heart (West Midland Regional Tourist Board) Silver Servicemark – as recognition for the outstanding service levels you will receive from Walnut Tree Cottage.
Our cottage is rated 4 Star by the English Tourist Board and overlooks the garden and fields at the edge of a quiet hamlet. There are wonderful walks straight from the door - over farmland and through the woods nearby. The area is a haven for birds and wildlife.
The cottage is close to the famous Black & White villages, several National Trust Properties, Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow, cider producers, Golf courses and the Cathedral city of Hereford with its Mappa Mundi Exhibition. Just 1½ miles away is the market town of Leominster with shops, pubs, restaurants, banks, etc.
There are some excellent pubs and restaurants in the surrounding districts, including those at Ludlow – an established ‘foodie’ haven - just 15 minutes away.
The Cottage has an enclosed garden with patio area, teak tables and chairs, patio heater and a barbecue for use on those lovely summer evenings.
Pets are very welcome at no extra charge.
FACILITIES
The Cottage sleeps 2 people in a double bed with an additional sofa bed in the lounge, if required.
The Cottage is very well equipped with all the additional extras that make it a home from home including free Wi-Fi internet.
The centrally heated and double glazed accommodation includes:
Ground Floor: Entrance Hall; Dining Room; Kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric cooker with 4 ring hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, filter coffee machine with milk frother, radio with i-pod docking; Bathroom with Shower over bath.
First Floor: Lounge with Gas fired ‘wood burner’, TV, Video/DVD, Sky FreeSat, CD stereo hi-fi; Double Bedroom with radio alarm and hairdryer.
Also available is our comprehensive ‘Baby Pack’ – including cots, stairgates, high chairs, books, toys, etc to help ease the load on your car when packing!
There is off-road parking to the front of the Cottage for one vehicle and secure storage for bikes should you wish to bring them. Access to larger freezer and tumble dryer available.
