Somerset Lodge is one of a pair of delightful archway Lodges at the boundary of Cholmondeley Park and the Castle Gardens, just a short distance from the Castle which has been the principal home to the Cholmondeley family since the Norman Conquest. A wonderfully peaceful location, with idyllic views across parkland and Chapel Mere. The stunning gardens and parkland of this 7,500 acre estate in rolling Cheshire countryside, perfectly situated for exploring the county, North Wales and neighbouring Shropshire. Nearby Chester is home to a cathedral, a zoo, a racecourse, a variety of museums and Tudor and other historic buildings. Clients will receive complimentary tickets to the Castle Gardens (April to September).

Somerset Lodge is within walking distance, being about 1 mile from the extremely popular and acclaimed Cholmondeley Arms, which offers excellent food and hospitality.

The Lodge provides charming accommodation for up to 4 people. The entrance is through a small fenced garden to a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Bathroom. Sitting room with open fire, digital freeview TV/DVD player and digibox. Payphone. Steep stairs to one double bedroom (with wash basin) and one small twin bedroom (beds 5'10" long and end to end). No pets.
