Apple Tree Cottage is set in the quiet, peaceful village of Belford, only 3 miles from the coast and 5 miles from Bamburgh. Its location offers easy access to exhilarating walks along both country and coastal paths and is indeed an ideal base for hill walkers, ramblers and cyclists alike. Nearby are unfrequented, wild sandy beaches and a choice of beautifully situated golf courses such as Alnmouth, Embleton and Wooler.

The cottage is on one level with just one step up to the kitchen overlooking a well matured, enclosed rear garden. The sitting room is a comfortable room with gas fire, tv and dvd player. It accommodates a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern amenities including electric cooker, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. There are two double bedrooms {one double and one twin bedroom). Each of the bedrooms has tasteful bedding and soft furnishings. The bathroom incorporates a bath with overhead shower. The secluded rear garden offers a selection of outdoor furniture and a barbeque. There is also the addition of storage space for cycles. A cot and a high chair are available on request and the cottage has tourist information, masses of walking books and maps to browse through. Indoor and outdoor games are provided for all the family.

If you fancy a boat trip to the Farne Islands, Seahouses is not far away. Holy Island is approximately 12 miles north and Alnwick with its famous castle and gardens is only 15 miles south. Inland are the Cheviots to explore and historical houses such as Cragside, the first house to have electricity. Belford and the surrounding area provide 'breath taking' scenery whatever the season - so come and enjoy!

Belford lies 1 mile west off the A1 London to Edinburgh road, and is approx 15 miles south of the Scottish Borders and 3 miles in from the coast.
