3 bedroomed cottage with river views
Mamie's Cottage dates from 1675 and was fully renovated in 2006. It retains all the character features you would expect in such a building: oak beams, stone flagged and oak floors and a has a lovely traditional feel.
There are three bedrooms. A spacious double with 5ft bed and space for cot if needed, smaller double room also with 5ft bed and a small single room with a 3ft single bed and a pull-out truckle bed suitable for a child. So all in all, cottage is best for up to 5 adults and 1 child. There is a main bathroom with bath upstairs and a shower room downstairs. The sitting room has cosy sofas, wooden beams and a wood burning stove. The kitchen leads into a sunny dining room with spectacular views over Hebden beck. The cottage has a useful boot room/entrance porch with large drying rack for wet weather gear.
Outside you have a small terrace overlooking the stream and a small garden on the side of the cottage. Mamie's is the oldest builing in the hamlet of Hole Bottom just north of the village of Hebden. It is part of a group of 3 cottages called Jerry and Ben's that share 2 acres of private woodland through which flows Hebden beck. It is situated at the end of Hebden Gill and has access to the moors and many marvellous walks straight from the cottage door.
