Lakeside House is located in the pretty hamlet of Fossebridge, where the Fosse Way drops into the valley of the River Coln, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is only 6 miles north of Cirencester on the A429. Delightful walks are to be discovered from here up to Yanworth and The National Trust’s Chedworth Roman Villa. Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Cheltenham are within half an hour’s drive. Warwick Castle, Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Bath are also easy day trips.

The Cottage is a well positioned property with access to the bar and restaurant , situated within the 4 acre grounds of the family run Inn at Fossebridge, an historic 17th Century Coaching Inn.

Excellent traditional food, local ales and fine wines are served daily. We offer a daily lunch menu from 12 noon to 2.30 pm and a la carte dining in the evening from 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm. Every Sunday we offer a Traditional Sunday Roast Menu from 12.00 noon – 3.30 pm. Advanced reservations are recommended. The two Georgian private dining rooms within the hotel are also available for entertaining (no room hire charge), should you require additional party space for a special celebration. Please contact us for further details and menu options. Cottage guests can also pre-book breakfast in the hotel dining room at a cost of £13.50 per person, served daily from 8.30 am – 10.00 am.

The accommodation in the cottage is very spacious; comfortably sleeping 10 guests in two king rooms, one twin and a dormitory room with four single beds. A Z bed is also available for an additional nightly charge. There is a large traditional sitting room with a log burning stove. It is tastefully furnished with arm chairs, occasional chairs and two large sofa's. WiFi, SKY HD, a DVD player, and a Video are installed. Adjacent, on the ground floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed and a newly installed en-suite bathroom, with shower cubicle, bath, twin vanity unit and a W.C.

The kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances, including a Miele dishwasher, washing machine oven. The dining area is adjacent with a large farmhouse table and ten dining chairs.

Also on the ground floor is the second double bedroom with a wash basin. Upstairs is another double bedroom with a double bed and a wash basin. Adjacent is the fourth bedroom with four single beds. On the same floor is a family bathroom with a bath, shower over the bath, W.C. and a wash basin.

The Cottage has a private entrance, two driveways with parking for 5 cars and an enclosed front garden with attractive views across the lake and gardens of the Inn.
