Mountain View Cottageis a warm ,fully equpped smart bungalow in Aviemore.
It iis usually let from 4pm on Saturday till 10am the following Saturday
A huge range of outdoor activities is availble ; walking footpaths on hill or through forests, ski-ing in season, climbing, horse-riding, trekking, fishing,bird-watching,mountain biking,just relaxinging fantasic scenery.
The UKs only reindeer herd can be visisted, at the deer centre or on a visit from there to the hill-tops. Britains highest railway will take you up Cairngorm mountain;another steam train passes yards from our house, on its way to Boat of Garten, home of the ospreys.
Aviemore has a host of restaurants, from upmarket good-food restaurants at reasonable prices, to value fast-food venues. The surrounding towns increase the choice. Real ale is brewed about 300 yards from our house too.
The cottage is in a safe cul-de-sac, and backs onto rough ground, heather and birches, home to a family of roe deer and countless birds.
The village of Aviemore has a variety of shops, several outdoor shops, a supermarket, quality butchers, tourist centre,two train stations (one for steam trains ) pubs and restaurants, award-winning fish & chipper,etc and is reached by a short footpath, or by car.
Inverness is 35 minutes away by car or bus, and is a smart town with all facilities in a stunning setting on the Moray Firth, dolphins abound within sight.Culloden Moor is nearby, worth a visit.
