Newly renovated 17th century former Hay Barn with extensive sea views
With panoramic sea views across the Irish Sea our self catering holiday cottages are set in 13 acres on the outskirts of the pretty coastal village of Trefin.
Downstairs the Barn has a well equipped kitchen, with electric hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge and all the extras you’d expect. This leads into a large dining room with an 8 seater table, ideal if you’re renting any of the other cottages with friends or family. There is a full height window which via a galleried balcony extends up to the bedroom. The dual aspect lounge has a large 32” flat screen TV and DVD player, sumptious recliner leather suite and the entire ground floor has heated slate floors. There is a QUAD stereo system (as used by the BBC) and 2 QUAD electro-static speakers and an iPod docking lead. Above the lounge is a crog loft accessed via a stowable ladder. There are 2 additional twin beds here but restricted head height. It is accessed via the stowable ladder which is quite steep and not suitable for very young or very elderly. The property also has a WC on the ground floor.
A lovely steel and wood spiral takes you directly from the dining room upstairs to the only room, the master bedroom. This also has a wall mounted 32” flat screen TV, rooflight looking out over the Irish Sea, a balcony over the dining room and a gorgeous en suite bathroom which contains an enormous double 2 person bath (with shower), with cushioned head rests. This really is the place to relax and unwind.

The cottages together can cater for a maximum of 16 people and comprise a former barn, cowshed and two farm cottages. They are situated no more than a two minute walk from the rugged Pembrokeshire coast path. Midway between Fishguard and St Davids. The location is among the finest in the highly sought after Pembrokeshire National Park region being both beautifully quiet and yet within easy reach of local picturesque villages such as Solva and Porthgain.
We have a large childrens play set on site. Pets are welcome. During the summer months we usually have horses grazing in the fields behind the cottages, they are very visitor friendly especially to those who offer the odd Polo mint!!
