This curiously shaped 2 bedroomed cottage sleeps 4/6 with a sofa bed in the sitting room. Saddler's Cottage is available all year round and from September to June we accept short break and mid-week to mid-week bookings. Our other cottage Flat-iron Cottage is 15 mins. walk away.
Wirksworth has several pubs (2 within 250m!), cafés and restaurants; delicatessen; a local supermarket; bakeries; post office and pharmacy, all within easy walking distance of Saddler's Cottage.
The accommodation:
The Sitting Room with wood burning stove and beamed ceiling, has a TV and DVD player, futon sofa bed for guests 5&6, as well as other comfortable seating.
The very well equipped Dining Kitchen has a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and range-style gas cooker with electric fan oven. Dinner service with eight place settings.
Bedroom 1 is a double bedded room with very quirky walk in wardrobe.
Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room with high beamed ceiling and oak furniture.
The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath and feature stained glass window over stair well.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price.
We have 1 travel cot, 1 high chair and 1 bed guard rail available on a first come first served basis shared between our cottages. Please make your request at time of booking.
The cottage has gas central heating. Gas, and electricity are included in price.
We provide enough logs for at least one fire. More fuel is readily available within the town.
We provide tea, coffee, milk, bread and a bottle of wine to welcome you on your arrival.
Parking is on street and free of charge although waiting times of 40mins apply at Saddler's Cottage between 9am and 5pm Mon to Sat.
No smoking in the cottages.
Sorry, no pets allowed.
Although our usual changeover day for weekly bookings is Saturday, we are flexible and mid-week to mid-week breaks can be arranged. Please contact us for prices and availability.
We also offer short breaks. Please note our pricing model does not fit with this website's, so prices shown for short breaks are a GUIDE ONLY. For accurate prices please contact us or visit our website. Minimum stay for a short break is 2 nights, and please note: We only accept short break bookings within 6 weeks of commencement.
